Galaxy S26 Ultra outsold its predecessor, but still dropped off of 2026’s first top 10 list

Counterpoint Research said Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra had stronger early sales than the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Even so, it narrowly missed the Q1 2026 global top 10 best-selling smartphones list.

The ranking was dominated by iPhones, including the iPhone 17, and low-cost Android models.

The result suggests Samsung’s premium flagship is gaining traction, but the market remains split between Apple and budget phones.
