Microsoft just made its Surface laptops a lot more expensive

Microsoft raised prices on its Surface Pro and Surface Laptop lineup, with 13-inch models seeing the biggest jumps.

The entry-level Surface Pro now starts at $1,049, up from $799, and no Surface model is now priced below $1,000.

Microsoft cited memory shortages and higher component costs, as AI data center demand continues to strain supply chains.
