12-Nozzle 3D printer unveiled — MOVA AtomForm Unveils Palette 300

MOVA AtomForm officially unveiled the Palette 300 at a Silicon Valley media event that doubled as a crash course for lifestyle content creators.

The Palette 300 is a helmet-class Core XY machine featuring a 12-nozzle OmniElement automatic nozzle-swapping carousel accessed at the bottom with blue lighting; nozzles sit on the carousel pointing up.

The 12-nozzle system is designed to cut purge waste and boost speed, and the printer can avoid nozzle cleaning between color swaps; however, using more than 12 colors creates filament waste.

Filament capacity is up to 36 spools via RFD-6 units (one included by default, up to four supported); each RFD-6 stores/feeds six spools and also functions as a filament drier; Bowden tubes provide a “ReadyPrint” feed and let one color be active while another is on deck.

Release is scheduled for the second quarter (no exact date); reservations cost $50 to lock a $999 launch-day price versus an expected $2199 retail; two prototypes were shown and only one ran a three-color print; software will be AtomForm Studio based on Orca Slicer.
