Konami raises starting salary in Japan by nearly 30% and lifts base pay for fifth consecutive year

Konami raised the starting monthly salary for new college graduates in Japan to ¥310,000, a 29% increase from ¥240,000.

The company said it will raise base pay for all employees by ¥5,000 per month, marking the fifth consecutive year of increases.

Konami cited investment in human capital and securing diverse talent as reasons for the raises.

The publisher has recently revived major franchises including Silent Hill and Castlevania, and announced Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol 2.
