Gemini for Google Home can now use your cameras to trigger automations

Google Home is rolling out Gemini for Home, which can use camera visual analysis to trigger automations from described scenes or events.

The feature starts in Public Preview for English-speaking U.S. users on Nest and select third-party Gemini Built-In cameras.

Google Home is also adding multi-action voice commands, faster responses, and more natural language control.

The update moves smart home routines beyond motion or schedules and toward AI-based camera understanding.
