IQOS Tobacco Stick Prices Raised, Second Tax Increase This Year in October

Philip Morris Japan has applied to Japan’s Finance Ministry to raise prices for IQOS tobacco sticks.

If approved, the new prices will take effect on October 1.

Terea and Sentia would each rise by 20 yen, while MIIX for lil HYBRID would rise by 30 yen.

The move reflects higher tax burdens on heated tobacco products and could affect rival brands’ pricing plans.
