macOS 27 will drop support for these four Mac models

macOS 27 is expected to drop support for all Intel-based Macs, ending compatibility for the last four models still supported.

Those affected include the 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro, the 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro with four Thunderbolt 3 ports, the 2020 iMac, and the 2019 Mac Pro.

Apple silicon Macs are expected to remain supported, making them the only Mac platform eligible for future macOS releases.

The change is expected after WWDC later this year and marks a major cutoff for owners of Intel-era Macs.
