Africa’s first crane-less 6 MW turbine installed amidst extreme wind conditions

Nabrawind completed Africa’s first crane-free installation of a 6 MW Goldwind turbine in Namibia.

The company used its Total Self-Erecting System, along with Skylift, BladeRunner, and Nabrabase tools, to work in strong desert winds.

The approach simplified assembly at the remote InnoVent Diaz wind farm and avoided heavy crane logistics.

The method will support a seven-turbine project expected to produce about 230 GWh of electricity a year.
