Release date for the live-action film adaptation of The Legend of Zelda moved up

Nintendo has moved the global theatrical release of the live-action The Legend of Zelda movie up to April 30, 2027.

The film had previously been set for May 7, 2027, so the new date pulls the premiere forward by one week.

Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad are producing, with Wes Ball directing the project.

Lead casting has already been announced, underscoring continued momentum on a major Nintendo adaptation.
