Google pairs its Genie world model with Street View to create explorable AI worlds based on real places

Google DeepMind has linked Genie 3 with Street View, letting users drop a pin, pick a style, and generate interactive AI worlds based on real locations.

The feature uses Maps Imagery Grounding and is available only to Google AI Ultra subscribers, with support limited to U.S. places for now.

It remains an experimental research prototype, but it highlights Google’s advantage from combining Street View archives with generative world models.

Potential uses include agent training, robot simulation, and autonomous driving research.
