Apollo 11 Guidance Computer: The Undocumented Bug We Found

The Apollo Guidance Computer (AGC) source code has been digitized and is hosted in an open GitHub repository.

The AGC hardware used about 4,100 transistors.

The AGC had roughly 4 KB of RAM and 72 KB of core rope read-only memory.

The software was developed primarily at MIT's Instrumentation Laboratory and written in AGC assembly language.

The Virtual AGC project began digitizing original code listings in 2003; NASA's scanned source was uploaded to GitHub by the mid-2010s.
