Nothing Warp is an AirDrop stopgap that uses your Google Drive, and I don’t get it [Gallery]

Nothing has launched Warp, an app and browser extension for transferring files between Android phones and computers.

Instead of direct device-to-device sharing, Warp uploads files to a user's private Google Drive and downloads them on the target device.

It works across Chrome and Edge, adding another cross-platform sharing option for Android and PC users.

The tradeoff is slower transfers, plus storage and privacy concerns because Google Drive sits in the middle.
