Teclab Bypasses 16-Pin Connectors and Solder Wires Directly to the RTX 5090 GPU, Claiming This Will Prevent Connector Melting

TecLab bypassed the GALAX RTX 5090 D HOF OC LAB XOC’s 16-pin power connectors by soldering power wires directly to the GPU PCB.

The modified card booted and completed tests successfully with additional cooling.

While the method may avoid overheating-prone connectors, it risks damaging the card and voiding its warranty, making it unsuitable for ordinary users.
