US and ROK firms explore mass-producing solid-state batteries on existing EV lines

Factorial Energy and SK On signed an MOU to assess mass-producing FEST solid-state batteries on existing lithium-ion battery lines.

The study will examine technical feasibility, production requirements, and cost impacts for scaling up the cells.

If successful, the approach could reduce factory investment, lower costs, and speed commercialization of higher-energy EV batteries.
