JR East to Open 14-Story Mixed-Use Complex at Niigata Station’s Bandai Exit in Summer 2028

JR East has begun work on a mixed-use redevelopment in the Bandai Exit East area of Niigata Station.

The project will include two towers with offices, rental housing, retail, and medical facilities, plus a pedestrian deck.

The development is slated to open in summer 2028.

It is expected to boost downtown circulation, encourage more people to live in the area, and support Niigata’s urban renewal and regional revitalization.
