Samsung Foundry Has Apparently Won a 2nm CPU Order From a “North American Fabless Customer,” With AMD Identified as the Order’s Source

Samsung Foundry is rumored to have landed a 2nm CPU order from a North American fabless customer, with AMD emerging as the likely buyer.

The report, citing Daishin Securities and a tipster, links the potential deal to AMD’s Venice and Verano CPUs.

AMD is said to have been evaluating Samsung as a manufacturing partner as TSMC capacity remains tight.

If confirmed, the win would give Samsung a major advanced-node breakthrough and offer AMD an alternative production path for future CPUs.
