AI Teammates Enter the Enterprise: Tencent Cloud CodeBuddy NPC Reimagines Next-Generation R&D Workflow With AI-Native Git Paradigm

Tencent Cloud launched CodeBuddy NPC, a cloud AI agent that works like a development teammate inside Git workflows.

Developers can @mention NPCs in GitHub Issues to make them investigate tasks, plan solutions, write code, open pull requests, and fix CI failures.

The agents are defined in repo YAML and spun up on demand in Docker sandboxes, enabling parallel execution without persistent infrastructure.

Tencent also promoted the CNB platform, which adds fast cloning, sandboxed environments, token tracking, audit logs, and lower token usage for AI actions.
