Minecraft Movie Sequel Gets Official Title, New Cast Members Revealed

Mojang and Warner Bros. confirmed the Minecraft movie sequel is officially titled “A Minecraft Movie Squared.”

Kirsten Dunst will play Alex, and Matt Berry has also joined the cast.

The film is set for a theatrical release on July 23, 2027.

At Minecraft Live during TwitchCon Rotterdam, the companies also unveiled a community build challenge tied to the movie.
