Android XR brings app pinning, resume, & auto-spatialization to Galaxy XR

Google and Samsung are rolling out an Android XR update for Galaxy XR with app pinning, automatic session restore, and improved hand visibility in passthrough.

The update adds an experimental feature that turns 2D content into spatial experiences, aiming to make the headset more useful for everyday tasks.

Support for more XR apps is expanding, including titles like YouTube, Chrome, Real VR Fishing, Trombone Champ: Unflattened!, and PSG Immersion.

Samsung’s rollout also brings hand tracking, eye tracking, and accessibility improvements to make XR easier to use.
