Kioxia and SanDisk demonstrate the world's highest-density 3D NAND flash — 332 active layers and up to 4,800 MT/s interface

Kioxia and Sandisk unveiled a BiCS10 3D QLC NAND device with 332 active layers.

The chip delivers up to 4,800 MT/s interface speed and a record 37 Gb/mm2 areal density.

It is aimed at high-capacity data center SSDs that are larger, cheaper, and more power efficient.

The new design could help expand storage capacity while improving efficiency for AI and data center systems.
