XREAL launches much more affordable ‘a01’ AR glasses, coming soon to the US for $299

XREAL has launched XBX, a new lower-cost sub-brand, with the a01 AR glasses as its first product.

The a01 is lighter than the XREAL 1S, uses interchangeable front frames, and keeps core features like external-device input and bright HDR10 output.

The tradeoff is a smaller field of view, but the glasses are already on sale in China and will arrive in the US in July.

Starting at $299, the a01 could make AR glasses more accessible to mainstream buyers and sharpen XREAL’s competition in the market.
