Final Fantasy Remakes After FF7 Could Be 'Four or Maybe Even Five Installments'

FF7 Remake director Naoki Hamaguchi said classic Final Fantasy games like FF6, FF8, and FF9 could take four or five installments if remade at FF7 Remake scale.

He said he is not currently working on a Final Fantasy 6 remake, though he would support one in a limited role.

The remarks point to the possibility that Square Enix could make future remakes of older Final Fantasy games much larger and more ambitious than fans might expect.
