Intel’s first handheld gaming chip is the Arc G3, and this Acer is using it

Intel formally unveiled Arc G3 and Arc G3 Extreme, custom handheld gaming chips built on Panther Lake.

The chips use fewer CPU cores but keep full Xe3 graphics support, aiming to boost portable gaming performance.

Acer’s Predator Atlas 8 will be one of the first devices to ship with the new chips, with models from MSI and OneXPlayer also coming.

The handheld targets an 8-inch 120Hz display, up to 24GB RAM, Thunderbolt 4, Windows 11, and an October launch.
