Spotify introduces verified artist badges to help distinguish humans from AI

Spotify is rolling out a new “Verified by Spotify” badge for artists with a real-world presence and sustained audience engagement.

Profiles centered on AI personas or AI-generated music are excluded from the badge program.

A new beta profile section will surface milestones, releases, and touring activity, with badges appearing in profiles and search results.

The move aims to help listeners spot authentic artists and curb AI spam, impersonation, and low-quality synthetic music.
