Tsukuba Express launches 20% early-morning fare discount campaign for 'credit card ride'

Tsukuba Express will run a weekday early-morning fare discount trial from May 11 to July 31.

Passengers using credit card tap-in/tap-out before 6:30 a.m. will receive an automatic 20% fare discount, with no registration required.

The discount will be reflected through the card billing process.

The test aims to encourage off-peak commuting, ease congestion, and evaluate card-based transit incentives on a major rail line.
