Salesforce announces an AI-heavy makeover for Slack, with 30 new features

Salesforce unveiled an updated Slack with 30 new AI features at a San Francisco event.

The update centers on Slackbot, adding reusable AI-skills, meeting transcription, summaries, and desktop monitoring.

Slackbot now acts as an MCP client and can route tasks to Agentforce or other agents and apps.

Salesforce said the features will roll out in the coming months and highlighted revenue growth since acquiring Slack.
