Classic arcade shoot ’em up series Truxton is getting its first new entry in 34 years

Truxton Extreme is the third game in the Truxton series and will launch on July 30.

It will release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2 and PC and is the series' first fully 3D-rendered entry.

Masahiro Yuge returned to create and reimagine music from the 1988 original; a Junya Inoue digital comic is included.

Modes include Story, Arcade, Heart Starter, Team (two-player co-op) and a two-minute Arena time trial; players can rescue Pipiru aliens and raise them in Pipiruville.

A Thunder Master Edition will be sold (special box, O-sleeve, A5 hardcover art book, A5 manga-style softcover manga, original soundtrack on a 2-disc CD, lenticular Skull Bomb card); pre-orders include a plush Pipiru.
