The first “Hualong One” nuclear power project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has been fully completed and put into operation, with a localization rate above 90% - IT Home

Unit 2 of the Guangdong Taipingling nuclear power project has started commercial operation, completing Phase I with both Unit 1 and Unit 2 online.

This is the first Phase I rollout of a Hualong One nuclear project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The unit has an installed capacity of about 1,200 MW and is expected to generate more than 9 billion kWh annually.

The launch boosts clean power supply in the region and highlights China’s third-generation nuclear technology and equipment localization.
