OpenAI's ChatGPT Images 2.0 is here and it does multilingual text, full infographics, slides, maps, even manga — seemingly flawlessly

OpenAI launched ChatGPT Images 2.0 and gpt-image-2, adding support for text-heavy images, infographics, slides, maps, UI mockups, manga, floor plans, and more.

The update also improves editing of uploaded images and extends the tool toward practical design assets like image grids and character sheets.

OpenAI says it is adding stronger safety controls and metadata tagging to reduce misuse in political influence or advertising campaigns.

The release raises the usefulness of AI image generation for real work, while also increasing the risk of highly convincing synthetic media.
