A third Nintendo Illumination movie is set for 2028, according to Universal schedule

Universal’s updated Spanish release slate now lists an untitled Illumination/Nintendo animated film for April 12, 2028.

The new entry has sparked speculation that it could be another Mario project or a Donkey Kong spin-off.

The listing points to Nintendo and Illumination extending their successful movie partnership beyond the existing Super Mario films.
