Valve says Steam Machine reservations won't be fulfilled until 'the end of this year' — company also releases CAD files for the PC console’s external shell under Creative Commons

Valve says Steam Machine reservation fulfillment is moving by product and region, with some orders already reaching purchase access.

All current reservation holders are expected to be able to buy by the end of 2026.

The company also released STP CAD files for the console’s outer shell on GitHub under a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.

That opens the door to custom face plates, cases, skins, and other legal 3D-printed mods based on Valve’s design.
