Rocky, a Rust-based SQL control plane for warehouse pipelines, has been launched after a series of governance-focused releases.

It adds Git-like branching and replay, compiler-derived column lineage, masking and audit controls, and cost reporting.

Rocky also checks SQL dialect portability and integrates with Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, DuckDB, and Dagster.

The goal is to give data teams compile-time governance and policy enforcement without replacing the warehouse itself.
