Meta wants you to pay for WhatsApp now, and it’s already testing the waters

Meta is testing a new paid WhatsApp tier called WhatsApp Plus.

The plan would add premium stickers, themes, icons, custom ringtones, and more chat pins.

Core messaging and calls would remain free.

Early regional pricing and possible free trials have been spotted, and Meta may also be exploring a similar paid layer for Instagram.
