Four retro baseball and football games from the NES and SNES era have returned on Switch and PS5

Rock It Games released two Jaleco Sports compilations for PS5 and Switch: Jaleco Sports: Goal! Two and Jaleco Sports: Bases Loaded 2: Second Season.

Both compilations are available today for $7.99 / £7.19.

Goal! Two includes four regional versions across NES/Famicom and SNES (Goal! 2 NES North America, Goal! 2 NES Europe, Goal! Famicom Japan, Super Goal! 2 SNES North America); the NES version has a Super Cup mode with 24 countries and 15-player rosters, and the SNES version uses a vertical viewpoint with four stadiums including Rainbow and Snowman.

Bases Loaded 2: Second Season package contains five regional versions (including Bases Loaded 2: Second Season NES North America, Moero!! Pro Yakyuu ’88 Kettei Ban Famicom Japan, Super Bases Loaded II SNES North America, Super 3D Baseball Super Famicom Japan, Hanguk Pro Yagu Super Comboy Korea); the NES entry is the second of four Bases Loaded NES games and is noted to feature a 130-game season, and the SNES entry uses Mode 7 to follow the ball.

Both compilations add modern options like rewind and a CRT filter; Jaleco went bankrupt in 2014, and Rock It Games CEO Michael Devine said they will continue bringing classic NES and SNES games to modern consoles with expanded features and playability.
