Windows is getting a cloud feature that fixes bad drivers before they wreck your PC

Microsoft announced Cloud-Initiated Driver Recovery for Windows to automatically roll back problematic drivers to a known-good version from Windows Update.

The feature will detect bad drivers, block their publication, and replace them without requiring user or vendor intervention.

Testing is planned for selected driver labels from May through August 2026, with broader automation targeted for September.

The move is meant to reduce crashes and support issues, improving Windows reliability for users and IT teams.
