Tether Names KPMG as Its First Full Financial-Statement Auditor After 12 Years

Tether has appointed KPMG to perform its first full financial-statement audit after more than a decade of limited attestations.

The audit will examine Tether’s assets, liabilities, reserves backing USDT, digital assets, tokenized liabilities, and internal controls.

Tether engaged PwC to improve internal systems ahead of the review and has not set a public timeline for completion.
