Google brings its age-assurance technology to Android developers worldwide

Google is expanding its Play Signal API for Android developers worldwide.

The API will move from Brazil to Australia and Canada in mid-August, then roll out to all markets by the end of 2026.

With parental opt-in through Family Link, apps can receive age-range signals without accessing a user’s date of birth.

The update helps developers create safer, age-appropriate experiences while supporting rising age-verification and child-safety requirements.
