Path of Exile 2 Director Jonathan Rogers isn't worried about missing swords, "as long as there's nothing in the game that I feel is bad"

Grinding Gear Games says Path of Exile 2’s next major update will focus on endgame improvements rather than missing weapons or classes.

Director Jonathan Rogers said the studio wants to finish the last campaign acts, keep balancing the game, and add uniques before 1.0.

Unlike patch 0.4, which lacked endgame updates, the upcoming 0.5 release is meant to make the game feel better and more approachable.

The team is targeting a late-2026 1.0 launch, with core systems and endgame stability taking priority first.
