Spotify introduces human artist verification badges to strengthen distinction from AI-generated content

Spotify is rolling out a new “Verified by Spotify” badge for artist profiles that meet authenticity standards.

The badge is based on sustained listener engagement, policy compliance, and an artist’s off-platform presence.

AI-generated or AI-persona-led profiles are excluded for now, helping distinguish real artists from synthetic ones.

Spotify will also launch a beta “Artist details” section with milestones, releases, and touring information over the coming weeks.
