Intel 14A Wins Over Elon Musk as the “State of the Art” Process Tech to Be Deployed at TeraFab

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said TeraFab is planned to use Intel’s 14A process for future custom chip production.

Musk called 14A state-of-the-art, but noted the node is not yet ready for mass production.

The move points to a potential Tesla-Intel manufacturing partnership as Tesla expands its custom silicon ambitions.

It also suggests Tesla wants more supply options beyond existing foundries like TSMC and Samsung.
