SoftBank raises prices by 110 to 550 yen per month, focusing on users who “use it heavily”

SoftBank will raise prices for its SoftBank and Y!mobile plans by 110 to 550 yen from June 2 to July 1.

At the same time, it unveiled a new plan, "Paitoku 2," and richer premium tiers with unlimited data and satellite connectivity.

The company also announced a new Starlink-based service, "Starlink Direct," to expand its high-value offerings.

The strategy aims to strengthen retention of heavy users by combining PayPay perks and premium services amid rising telecom costs.
