Not Robotaxi or Cybercab: Elon Musk is having a hard time naming his autonomous taxi, and now it’s the French sparkling water’s fault

Tesla is running into trademark problems over its autonomous taxi branding.

French beverage maker Unibev registered Cybercab first, and Tesla sued over alleged bad faith.

The USPTO also rejected Tesla’s bid to trademark Robotaxi as too generic.

Tesla’s Robovan name has also faced trademark issues, pushing the company toward alternative names.
