After backlash, Meta pauses plan to ‘rate limit’ its smart glasses

Meta has paused plans to test a monthly fee and usage limits for its Conversation Focus smart glasses feature after backlash.

The feature will remain free for early testers in Meta’s Early Access Program while the company works on a different approach.

Meta still says some premium smart glasses features may eventually be offered through subscriptions.
