New electronic warfare tech can help unmanned systems operate in anti-access areas

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems unveiled STORM SHIELD, a lightweight, modular electronic warfare suite for unmanned aerial platforms.

The system continuously monitors the electromagnetic spectrum and can detect, classify, and respond to threats autonomously.

It is designed to deliver wide frequency coverage, 360-degree protection, and mission-specific customization within UAV size, weight, and cost limits.

Rafael says the compact system could improve UAV survivability in denied or degraded airspace.
