OpenVibe launches as an open-source desktop AI coding IDE with an integrated agent that can edit code, run terminal commands, and search the web.

The app supports many model providers, including OpenAI-compatible APIs, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Groq, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, Ollama, LM Studio, and vLLM.

It also adds project rules, MCP integrations, live code editing, and project templates, aiming for a more autonomous developer workflow.

Released under the MIT license, OpenVibe offers a vendor-neutral alternative to locked-down AI coding tools and can work without an account, subscription, or telemetry.
