Introducing Sonnet 4.6

Anthropic has released Claude Sonnet 4.6, a major upgrade across coding, computer use, long-context reasoning, agent planning, knowledge work, and design.

The model adds a beta 1M-token context window and becomes the default for Free and Pro users in claude.ai and Claude Cowork.

Pricing stays the same as Sonnet 4.5, while Anthropic says early users prefer it over Sonnet 4.5 and sometimes even Claude Opus 4.5.

It also shows stronger resistance to prompt injection, with safety results comparable to other recent models.
