Meta launched its new standalone photo-sharing app, Instant, in Italy.

Built on Instagram, the app makes photos available for 24 hours and only once per view.

Meta is watching early user response before deciding whether to expand to more countries.

The move tests a Snapchat-style ephemeral sharing model outside of Instagram’s main app.
