Video: Self-balancing monowheel robot promises smarter and leaner security patrols

Rollo Robotics unveiled 1ROLLO, an autonomous single-wheel security robot for patrols at industrial and critical infrastructure sites.

The monowheel robot uses flywheel stabilization, sensor-driven control software, and a 360-degree vision system to follow preset routes and spot anomalies.

It can alert operators and recharge itself, and is designed to reduce the need for human patrols in tight or crowded areas.

Rollo plans to offer 1ROLLO as a subscription service.
