Pixel Buds' ANC and transparency controls are pulling a disappearing act

Some Pixel Buds owners are seeing ANC and transparency controls disappear or stop working in the phone’s volume slider.

The issue started after the March 2026 update and may have briefly improved with April’s update, but it is not fully fixed.

Google has acknowledged the bug, but no permanent fix has been released yet.

The affected mode switch is a key software feature, so the glitch hurts everyday usability even when the earbuds themselves still function.
