Introducing GPT-Live

OpenAI has launched GPT-Live, its next-generation voice model for ChatGPT.

GPT-Live can listen and speak at the same time, enabling more fluid real-time conversation, while handing harder tasks to a frontier model in the background.

The rollout includes GPT-Live-1 and GPT-Live-1 mini for ChatGPT users, with API access coming soon.

A July 31 update also added SynthID watermarking to supported GPT-Live audio and expanded verification tools for OpenAI provenance signals.
